In the Fraser Valley, there is a variety of religious groups, and they do a lot for their communities on a daily basis. The Fraser Valley is called by some, the bible-belt, and should be with all the different churches we have. Most religious church groups have their own people within the church that do a variety of services for their church, and many do it all for free. The roofing group does not despise this whatsoever, however it does mention it's legal aspect of terms when dealing with religious groups, as can be read below.
The roofing group does a variety of roofing details for churches throughout the year. Religious or church groups are people, and organizations that the roofing group has to deal with from time to time, and they are usually great, however there are times when certain churches will allow a member of their church to be involved in the churches building envelope. They could be an x-roofing inspector or just somebody that wants to help their church. If the church has somebody that is experienced in the roofing industry, then that is great, but the roofing company does not allow progress inspections from an actual church member.
We can talk with them on-site, but if they are not in our contract, then they can not be on the actual roof, or interfere with the actual roof procedures while the roof is being applied. This is for safety and insurance purposes. We make this clear with these groups before we even write up contracts or work orders, and this is no offence towards these groups whatsoever. We are only protecting the interests, and the operations of our company.
We can not stop work for a members requests, or have something in the roofing groups contract revised or changed by the said individuals, without a proper meeting. The roofing group deals exclusively with the main church pastors, and daily or weekly organizers within the operations of the church. We can never go outside of this for safety, and insurance purposes.
Many Church building's are very complex, and their details could be architecturally designed, which means it needs workers with special skills to complete its roofing project.
